Furniture conservation in anodized aluminum

Anodized aluminum is a perfectly inert material. The metal will not cause any chemical alteration, it is therefore particularly recommended for long-term storage. These drawers are equipped with glide runners, but can be provided upon request with a blocking system or ball bearings. To protect sensitive objects from dust ingress, mohair brushes are fixed on the edges of the drawers. Drawers of various heights can be incorporated into a single cabinet. A fixing system may be installed for documents or artifacts (stamps, medals, etc.). Individual drawer covers (polycarbonate) can be placed or mounted allowing the module to be turned in to a showcase that protects collections from direct contact while enabling easy access for display. They can then be securely viewed but not accessible to unauthorized users.
